Modern Poetry By A Modern Teen

I say that I'm a poet, because we all have dreams. One day I want to make it far in life, right now I'm just 15. Perhaps one day I'll be like those that I look up to - people I've never met and I've never seen. They've impacted me more than they could dream.

I've always wanted to be a singer, since I first performed in church, though I'm not religious now. My four younger siblings want to start a band with me, and be like Tally Hall. I don't think they know how much that means to me.

I've been teaching myself to play guitar for a week now, and I've gotten pretty good. Perhaps one day I'll make it - perhaps one day I could. I found your songs on Spotify today, and at the ending I heard you say how you sing songs about what people write. It's amazing that you do.

So here I am tonight, writing about my life. I'm just a girl, just 15. A Sophomore next year. This isn't even formatted as a song, not even written as a song. I write songs sometimes. Either way, it's a topic.
